Jason Derulo
Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux on September 21, 1989, is a Haitian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has sold over 250 million singles worldwide, with an estimated net worth of $16 million, and has collaborated with artists like Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, Maluma, and Adam Levine. His breakout hit, "Whatcha Say", topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009. In 2013, he suffered a near-fatal accident while attempting a back tuck, breaking his C2 vertebrae and risking paralysis. He co-parents his son, Jason King Derulo, with his ex-girlfriend, Jenna Frumes. Proud of his Haitian heritage, he has performed Konpa music, visited Haiti for a music video, celebrated Haitian Flag Day, and spoken about issues affecting Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
